We are excited to celebrate 35 years of Teen-Beat Records at the GrillX, Central Vienna, with live appearances by Mark Robinson, Cotton Candy (featuring Evelyn Hurley of Blast Off Country Style!)  and the screening of Amateur On Plastic, a documentary about Washington, D.C.-area musician Butch Willis and his band the Rocks.

Teen-Beat has been a major influence in founding, and by its appearance guiding Fettkakao as a label. We are very happy to be able to host the anniversary in Vienna.

The event will be accompanied by Disc Jockeys Monsterheart, sissiboy (of Sissysound Record Store!) & andi fettkakao.

(Flyer: Andi Dvořák)

The reunited Make-Up performed in New York, Washington D.C. and Paris earlier this year; while the most recent shows took place at the Primavera Festival in Porto and Barcelona some days ago. Now Svenonius is visiting a bunch of European Cites with the self proclaimed found sound dream drama Escape- Ism.

Fresh Air was blowing onto the Streets of Vienna when Totally Wired came along. Not that the gang members havent been around or active before – with running the LOVE_ gallery, perfoming in such Bands as Rabe or The Happy Kids. But now a stream of interesting Groups came into light – wrapped in nicely packed covers.

Groups like Dot Dash, Kristy And The Kraks and Clemens Band Denk were surprisingly original, yet crediting and communicating with their influences.

After Two LPs on their very own imprint,  Dot Dash did release a 7″ EP in 2014 for Fettkakao (Slide b/w Seasick). When their Label and Band fell apart, Kate Kristal went on with Kristy And The Kraks – a project she founded earlier, alongside Dot Dash, with Ana Threat.

I was impressed from the very first time i have seen them, and it only quadrupled from there: the debut 7″ – a Viennese classic;  Hard hitting Personalities with an extravagant stage presence; always in motion chasing the next interesting moment.

Kristy and the Kraks have recorded a 7″ EP, an Album called Smile on TWR and contributed songs to local compilations. Now four tracks have been recorded by Florian Tremmel for Fettkakao. The EP Snakes On The Phone is avavailable for streaming on Bandcamp, Spotify and iTunes already.

the Duo is on the road for a week, playing and promoting their current EP in places like Beograd, Budapest and Ljubljana.
